Creative, biographical and experiential approaches to human rights and democracy education in youth work

The Human Rights & Democracy Lab brings together youth workers from different European organizations to exchange practices and explore innovative approaches to human rights and democracy education in youth work. The training focuses on creative, biographical and experiential learning methods such as dialogue-based exercises, theatre approaches, Betzavta inspired activities, nonviolent communication and reflective group processes. Through workshops, practice-sharing, open space sessions and collaborative reflection, participants will explore current challenges, share best practices and develop new ideas for human rights education in youth work.

Participants will:

• explore contemporary approaches to Human Rights Education (HRE) in youth work
• exchange best practices and experiences from different European contexts
• gain practical experience with creative, biographical and experiential learning methods
• reflect on their own role as youth workers in promoting human rights and democratic participation
• develop ideas for implementing human rights education in their own organizations
• build international connections and partnerships for future cooperation in youth work.

The training course is founded by Erasmus+ Youth – Mobility for Youth Workers.

Participation fee: 100 €

For the organizations who are not able to pay the fee – please contact us – we will find a solution.

The international travel costs will be reimbursed according to the rules of the Erasmus+ Youth
